The government has on Sunday reinstated the regular Security Forces in the Parliament, house official confirmed.
Last month, the government has reinforced the security team following political crisis between the legislature and the executive.
Secretary General of the Lower House Abdikarin Buh said the government pulled out security forces deployed to the Lower House building last month.
“The Security forces were initially deployed in the Parliament to beef up the security of the House. Now they were withdrawn from the House and the regular security team has been reinstalled,” said Buh.
Mid last month, Somali Security forces and AMISOM troops were deployed in the Parliament to beef up the security of the House following tensions over the motion against Jawari.
The speaker accused Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheire of ordering the deployment of forces to the Lower House building to bar legislators from conducting business.
The Ministry of interior security had dispelled the accusations and termed the deployment of the soldiers in the Parliament as a change of guard which was a normal security procedure.
AMISOM also talked about the presence of its troops in the Parliament that securing government installations is part of its mandate.
