MOGADISHU ( HALBEEG NEWS) – Somalia’s opposition political parties and the civil society organizations will be a crucial part of the upcoming Dhusamareb three forum scheduled from august 15th this year.
According to the Minister of information Mohamed Abdi Mareye, the upcoming significant meeting is unique in the sense that all concerned stalk holders were invited to iron out the political difference hence reach inclusive consensus on the contentious topic on the election.
“The upcoming Dhusamareb conference is different from previous phases and will be attended by all stakeholders in the country, including the leadership of the two houses of parliament, the country’s political parties, regional administrations as well as civil society organizations and will be a comprehensive conference.” The minister said.
The leadership from the Federal Government and the Federal Member States jointly agreed to gather in Galmudug for the third and final round of talks to conclude discussions on the type of elections to be conducted in the country.
The outcome of the meeting is expected to chart way forward on the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections before February 2021.
