HARGEISA (Halbeeg News) – Nine inmates in Hargeisa jail began a hunger strike in protest against a directive issued by Somaliland authorities.
The prisoners are complaining about injustice and freedom denial after they served their jail terms.
The lawyer of the inmates, Mohamed Ahmed Abokor said the prisoners have gone on hunger strike in protest at the cruel, inhuman and degrading conditions they have been forced to endure at the prison in Hargeisa town.
