The newly elected Lower House, Mohamed Mursal Abdirahman will be inaugurated on Thursday.
Mursal who was elected last month has replaced the former speaker of federal parliament, Mohamed Osman Jawari who resigned following fall out with the members of the House.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at General Kahiye Academy in Mogadishu.
Ministers, lawmakers and government officials are expected to attend the event which comes ten days after the election of the speakers.
Mursal assumed the office last week in a handing over ceremony held at villa Hargeisa in Mogadishu.
The new speaker was the country’s Defense minister before he stepped down to contest for the office of the speaker.
Mursal who served Somalia’s first ambassador to Turkey since 1990 has pledged to strengthen the collaborations and the relations between the parliament and the executive arm of the government.
