Mogadishu Mayor, Abdirahman Omar Osman held meeting with the parliamentary Internal Affairs, Regional Administration and Security Committee of upper house in Mogadishu.
The Mayor briefed the committee over several issues including the work of local government, the security of the city and the ongoing reconciliation process in the city.
Osman said the local government administration of Banadir region has achieved gains in the fight against corruption in the different department of Mogadishu administration.
The mayor who has been cross-questioned over the work of his office and the relations between his office and other government departments said Mogadishu local government collaborates with federal government to implement the process of good governance.
The committee is expected to table full report about their meeting with the mayor before the parliament in the forthcoming days.
