Mogadishu mayor, Abdirahman Omar Osman has pledged to promote social amenities in Garasbaley locality following discussions with the residents of the area.
The recent few months, the locality has accomplished societal development and stability after the locals worked with the administration.
Osman who was leading officials from his local government has visited the area where he had a fast-breaking event with the local residents.
Speaking to the locals, the mayor commended the local authorities and residents of Garasbaley division for their commitment to develop their area.
“I appreciate your efforts to rebuild your locality and the visible achievements you gained, I promise to deliver local government services in your area same way as others,” he said.
He said his administration was committed to supporting the areas.
“We are committed to support and work with the people of Garasbaley locality in terms of security, social amenities and other sectors,” he pledged.
The mayor urged the locals to pay revenues to the government.
“The taxes are funds to build a country, therefore I urge you to pay the revenues so as to get the services you require,” he said.
