Dhusmareb, (Halbeeg News) – Security officers in Dhusamareb, Galmudug state have arrested a man accused of killing a police officer.
The suspect accused of shooting dead a police officer identified as Col. Hassan Quuri arrested on the outskirts of Dhusamareb following a tip-off from members of the family.
The suspect is said to have shot at Col. Quuri Monday while he was in the company of a woman in a car.
The woman reportedly suffered a minor injury on the hand and was rushed to a hospital nearby. Col. Quuri is a well-known police officer in Dhusamareb and participated in various peace initiatives in the region.
The suspect is currently in custody as police conduct investigations into the motive of the murder.
