JIGJIGA (Halbeeg News) – President of Ethiopia’s Somali region, Mustafa Mohamud Omer on Tuesday made the first reorganisation of his a week old government, indicating that he is keen to achieve his agenda in the next two years.
The President shuffled one minister, appointed chiefs of Police, custodial corps and Intelligence Agency.
In a statement, Mr. Omer appointed Mukhtar Jigre as Minister for Presidential Affairs.
The president fired the commander of the Liyu police, Gen Abdirahman Laba-Go’le who has been leading the state’s parliamentary forces for years.
Mr. Laba-Go’le was replaced with Mohamed Abdi Mowsar who will the paramilitary forces.
The decree also appointed Mukhtar Jigre as Minister for Presidential Affairs.
Meanwhile, the new leader of the state has appointed several other new individuals in his first reshuffle.
They include:
1. Colonel Abdikarim Kornel Cabdikariin as the deputy chief of the Liyu police.
2. Abdikarim Sheikh Muse was named as the new chief of custodial corps of Ethiopia’s Somali region.
