MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – Jubbaland security Minister, Abdirashid Abdi Nur Janan appeared before Banadir court in Mogadishu on Sunday.
Janan together with Bulle Adan Mohamed who was leading troops stationed at Dolow and Beled-Hawo appeared before the court to answer murder and other right violations.
The two were accused by Federal government for gross human rights violations that took place in Gedo region in the past years.
Minister, Abdirashid Abdi Nur Janan was arrested by Somali security agencies at Adden Abdulle International airport last month during his transit to Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
Somali criminal investigation department officials said they are finalizing the investigation into his allege crime.
The development comes amid heightened political tension between the Federal government in Mogadishu and Jubbaland state in Kismayo.
Authorities in Jubbaland called for his immediate release without any preconditions.
