Speculation reports claim that the leader is expected to direct the troops to return to the area.
Al-Shabab fighters have been attacking the village since Friday.
The group killed U.S. Soldier and injured four others in a gun battle.
Seven others were wounded last night after Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device hit their base in Sanguni village.
Al-Shabab claimed the responsibility for the attack.
“We killed 40 Somali soldiers in the base,” Abdiasis Abu Musab, al Shabaab’s military operations spokesman, told Reuters.
“The foreign forces ran away from the base this morning because we attacked them on Friday. We targeted the Somali forces who were in the base,” he added.
In recent past, Alshabab stepped up its attacks aimed at toppling the internationally recognized Somali government.
