MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – A bomb explosion has hit a European Union Training Mission in Somalia (EUTM) convoy on Monday in Somalia’s capital.
Residents told the media that the convoy travelling along the city’s Industrial road when a suspected suicide car bomb hit one of the military vehicles.
Reports say the targeted convoy belongs to Italian troops who are operating under the framework of European Union Training Mission in Somalia (EUTM).
The casualties of the blast are yet unknown.
Neither Somali government nor officials of EUTM have commented on the incident.
Italy has over 200 personnel who were deployed in Mogadishu to train the Somali National Army.
