ISTANBUL- ( Halbeeg News)-Several countries and trade blocs have condemned deadly Mogadishu bomb attacks on Saturday.
At least 15 people including deputy minister for Labour were killed, and dozens sustained injuries when a car bomb followed by gunfire targeted headquarters of Labour Ministry.
In a separate statement, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, European Union and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have consoled with families of the victims killed in the heinous attack.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday evening that the Turkish government condemned the terrorist attacks perpetrated against the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Public Works in Mogadishu.
“We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, a speedy recovery to the wounded and convey our condolences to the friendly and brotherly Government and people of Somalia,” the statement read.
Both Saudi and Yemen stressed that terrorism does not have a religion and is rejected in all its forms and represents one of the most severe threats against international peace and security.
“Saudi foreign ministry extends condolences and consolation to the families of the victims and the governments of Somalia, wishing the injured speedy recovery,” Saudi Arabia said on Saturday. “It is reiterating that the KSA is taking the side of the brethren country and solidarity with them against all manifestations of violence, extremism and terrorism.”
IOC and the EU have expressed their condolences to the bereaved families.
“We express our condolences to the families of the victims and wish a quick recovery to the wounded,” EU statement reads in part.
The European Union pledged that it will stand by the Somali people and authorities, supporting their aim of building a stable and secure country and of fighting such terrorist acts.
