MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – Somalia’s interior and federal affairs ministry has issued new guidelines for the upcoming Jubbaland regional state of Somalia.
The procedures entail about 27 points that will also affect future regional states elections across the country.
The statement from the ministry issued on Saturday stressed the need for a free, fair and transparent process in August polls.
It also calls upon for inclusive delegates for the selection process of the regional assembly members that will elect the state administration leader.

Interior, federal and reconciliation ministry has the mandate to announce the winner upon overseeing the process with the presence of international observers.
Jubbaland leader, Ahmed Mohamed Islam has ruled out the possibility of delaying the necessary process saying state administration presidential elections will be conducted on stipulated time.
The Federal Interior and reconciliation ministry new move are also expected to affect Galmudug regional state elections though Dhusamareb based leadership of Ahmed Gelle Haaf hinted possible extension during the recent meeting in Garowe.
