Hirshabelle Assembly has on Sunday passed public fund management bill for the first time since the inception of the regional state.
The session which was chaired by the speaker of the House, Sheikh Osman Barre was attended by 51 lawmakers.
The MPs debated on the bill which will oversee the management of the public funds and eventually approved it.
Announcing the results, Barre said forty nine voted in favour of the proposed bill, one rejected while only one lawmaker abstained.
The speaker has urged MPs to speed up the process of completing other bills submitted to the house.
Early this month, Hirshabelle Interior ministry has submitted the bill of local government which was approved by the cabinet.
The bill articulates the regulations to form local governments for the state, which has recently been busy mapping out plans to establish local administrations in Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle regions.
Hirshabelle state was formed in 2016 by the government led by the president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud
