A High Level Security Meeting on Somalia has kicked off in Brussels the capital city of Belgium.
Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheire has opened the meeting which convened officials from Somali government, UN, AU, EU, security experts and international donors.
The participants will discuss on means to review and make visible the transitional plan from AMISOM to Somali Security Forces and the army rebuilding process.
Somali government will also present the pilot projects within the framework of the Somalia Transition Plan.
African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) forces planing exit Somalia in 2020 after more than a decade of peacekeeping mission in the horn of Africa nation.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kheire held talks with European Union vice President, Federica Mogherini on EU’s support and the progress achieved by Somali government.
“Shared the progress made on our ambitious reform agenda with EU vice president @FedericaMog today, While recognizing that challenges remain, EU pledges to continue to our broader reform agenda,” said the Prime Minister on his Twitter account.
