HARGEYSA ( Halbeeg News)- A court in Hargeysa, the capital of the self-declared state of Somaliland has sentenced a Journalist Abdimalik Muse Oldon to three and half years’ prison for publishing anti-government thoughts on Facebook.
The humanitarian Journalist was in prison following his arrest months ago also over his social media critic over Abarso schools.
Marodi Jex court judge sentenced him to 40 months in Jail after an appearance in court on Monday morning.
He was among many arrested over posting comments perceived as critical of the Somaliland government, public officials several times before.
Oldon served six months in Jail in 2017 before presidential pardon over his visit in Mogadishu during president Farmajo elections.
Human rights groups have blamed Somaliland authorities for their crackdown over media workers.
The authorities’ shutdown two television stations last week but has since back to air.
Media advocacy groups have condemned the verdict.
