The rains and storms are expected hit the country throughout this week.

The centre issues warning of flash floods that could hit towns along Shabelle and Jubba rivers. Among the towns are Beledweyne, Jowhar, Afgoye.
The centre says the heavy rains could bring strong winds, waves which could have effect on fishermen along country’s coast areas.
In June, Somali government set up new national disaster early warning centre which was designed to help Somalia predict disasters.
Khadar Sheikh Mohamed was appointed to be the director of the centre.
The centre opened is funded by Saudi Arabia through the United Nations’ World Food Programme.
