Heavy fighting between Somali military backed by AMISOM troops and Al-shabab fighters broke out in the outskirt of Bardhere town in Southern Somalia.
The skirmishes reportedly flared up after heavily armed Al-shabab attacked bases of the allied forces.
Residents in the area say they could hear the sound the artilleries used by the sides.The casualties of the fighting is yet unknown.
The military officials in the area who spoke to the local media confirm that they repulsed the attacks of Al-shabab to their bases.
Al-shabab which lost the contol of towns including the capital carries out attacks on the military bases of AMISOM and SNA, ambushes and bomb attacks against the government institutions.
