MARKA ( Halbeeg News) – Four members of Somali armed forces are feared dead following a boat accident in the Indian ocean on Sunday evening.
The boat was on its way to Marka from the capital Mogadishu when the accident happened near its intended location.
There were 17 soldiers on the vessel 13 of them were rescued from the disaster.
There is ongoing rescue operation ongoing to search for the bodies of the missing soldiers who are believed to be dead.
Road transport between Mogadishu to Marka is dangerous due to siege by the armed group al-Shabaab militants.
Somali National Army 14th brigade stationed at the ancient city use water transport for logistics support.
