MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Four Cabinet members were sworn-in on Monday following their appointment by Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheire.
The swearing-in ceremony held at Villa Hargeisa was attended by the speaker of Lower House Speaker, Mohamed Mursal Abdirahman, First and second deputy speakers Abdiweli Sheikh Ibrahim Muddy and Mahad Abdalla Awad respectively, lawmakers as well as ministers and government officials.
Speaking at the swearing ceremony, Somali Deputy Prime Minister, Mahdi Mohamed Guleid has called upon the new minister to be guardians of public resources and serve the country in best.
For his part, the parliament speaker congratulated the new ministers for their appointment.
He urged them to serve the nation sincerely and execute their duties as per the constitution.
The names of the ministers and deputy ministers who took the oath are as follows:
Abdullahi Godah Barre- minister for Education
Hussein Sheikh Mohamud Hussein- Minister for Livestock
Abdikadir Sheikh Ali Baghdadi- State minister for presidency
Shawaqar Ibrahim Abdalla- Deputy Minister for Labour.
