MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – The former Galmudug regional state of Somalia leader, ambassador Mohamed Ali Warsame Kimiko has passed away in Kenyan capital, Nairobi on Monday. The family of the late leader confirmed his departure on early Monday morning where he was undergoing treatment.
Mr. Warsame who served as Somali ambassador to the United Nations and later to US and France during the Siyad Barre’s regime is among the pioneer founders of the Galmudug state in 2007.
President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has sent his condolences to the family of the deceased.
“On behalf of the Federal Government of Somalia, I want to send my sincere heartfelt condolences to the family of late Mohamed ALI Warsame,” the president said.
“Warsame was a dedicated public service officer who served the interest of his people and nation as a diplomat in various countries, may almighty rest his soul in Jannah Ferdows.”
