Four people were killed by floods in Beledweyne town of Hiran region after River Shabelle broke its banks.
The local residents told Halbeeg News on Friday that two of the victims were crossing the bridge when they met their deaths.
The victims have died after a tractor they were travelling in was swept by floods.
” Two people have died and several wounded after a tractor they were travelling in was swept away by raging floods at the bridge on River Shabelle in Beledweyne town,” a survivor of the incident told Halbeeg News.
The other two were killed by floods splashed by River Shabelle in Beledweyne town.
The rains that started in several parts of the country wreaked havoc on residents living alongside Jubba and Shabelle Rivers.
The death toll of the flood victims increases as rains continued to pummel many parts of the country.
Early this month four people including two children died after their homes were swept away by floods in villages near Beledweyne town.
Some 600,000 families were left homeless following a heavy downpour and floods splashed by River Shabelle.
