MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – Somali Parliament Speaker, Mohamed Mursal Abdirahman has met with the European Union (EU) ambassador to Somalia.
Nicolas Berlanga has today paid a courtesy call on the parliament speaker at his office in Villa Hargeisa.
The speaker and the ambassador discussed wide range issues on Somalia and the parliament.
Among the things discussed the support of the bloc to the House.
“HE Amb. @NBerlangaEU today paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the House of People Hon. Mohamed M. Abdirahman.
In a Twitter post, EU ambassador said the EU will be happy to continue its support.
“Honoured to meet the Speaker of the House of People Hon. Mohamed Mursal Abdirahman,” said the ambassador, “As Somalia is moving forward, Federal Houses representing the citizens and the FMS become pivotal elements in dialogue and key actors in lawmaking.”
Ambassador Berlanga who was recently appointed to represent EU in Somalia is carrying out initiatives to hold discussions with Somali leaders.
