JIGJIGA (Halbeeg News) – Ethiopian Prime Minister, Dr Abiy Ahmed Ali has arrived in the city of Jijiga, the administrative capital of Somali regional state of Ethiopia on Wednesday.
The premier will join other regional leaders including, President Mustafe Muhumed, and Ethiopia’s federal finance minister, Ahmed Shide, in the closing ceremony of the Somali Peoples Democratic Party Congress.
He will deliver a remark at the closing ceremony of the 10th regular session of the Party.
In a related development, Ahmed Shide and Mustefa Omer have been elected as chairperson and deputy of SDP, respectively.
The party has changed its name from previous Ethiopian Somali People’s Democratic Party to Somali Democratic Party (SDP) following three days of Congress meeting in Jigjiga.
