MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somalia’s Education Ministry has warned against the circulation of alleged fake exam papers online.
The warning comes a day after the unified national examination for the secondary schools’ student kicked off across the country on Saturday.
A press statement from the Education Ministry warned those found involved in the illegal exercise to face the full force of the law.
“Anyone found spreading the fake exam papers will be responsible for the action in a court of law,” the ministry said.
The statement further urged students in exams rooms to focus on revision in their remaining test days.
More than 31500 examiners registered to sit for the exams according to the Ministry.
There are 105 examination centers in which 71 are in the capital Mogadishu while 34 are spread across the regional administrations.
The unified national examinations were launched in 2014 following decades of turmoil in the country.
The results are expected to be announced in July this year.
Countries such as Turkey, Sudan, and China offer a scholarship for the best students.
