MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – Dozens of people were arrested by Somali security agencies during security swoop in the capital Mogadishu.
The security operation was conducted at Bulla Hubey, Madina market respectively where several people mainly youth were arrested.
Some of the suspects were released following interrogation by the police.
The operation follows after explosive device fitted into one of area residents car exploded.
One other person was shot dead in same area on Tuesday morning by unknown gunmen, he is believed to be senior security official.
No one has claimed the responsibility but mark point to the armed group al-Shabaab who hunt members of the security forces and Somali government officials.
Somali security agencies have intensified operations in and around the capital to beef up security in the city.
