MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – The Director-General of Somali Internal Security Ministry has been suspended over lack of commitment.
In a statement, Mohamed Abukar Islow, Somali minister for Internal Security has extended compulsory leave to Yussuf Ali Mohamed, the Director-General in the ministry.
Mr. Islow said the suspension was necessitated by the need the implementation of the work at of the Director-General.
The Minister has appointed Ahmed Abdi Koshin to work as acting Director-General.
Mr. Islow directed the staff at different departments in the ministry and other governmental agencies to cooperate and work with Mr. Koshin.
The suspended official did not comment on the decision by the minister.
