MOGADISHU ( HALBEEG NEWS) – The leader of Puntland Saed Abdullahi Deni and his Jubbaland counterpart Ahmed Mohamed Islam are scheduled in the capital Mogadishu in the coming days.
The two will meet the Federal Government leadership of the proposed electoral model that was agreed in Dhusamareb on Friday last week in which both were absent.
According to sources privy to the leaders’ meeting, President Deni and President Madobe will meet the head of state Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
The reunion was facilitated by international partners in the country.
Garowe and Kismayo rejected the outcome of the Dhusamareb3 meeting that resolved indirect caucus based poll to be conducted in the country before February next year.
In their separate press statement released after the end of the summit last week, Saedi Deni and Ahmed Islam called for more dialogue to agree on an inclusive acceptable election model.
They blamed President Farmajo for pushing political agendas that further polarize the political environment in the country.
