A consultation conference to deliberate on Galmudug the Development Plan started on Saturday in the administrative capital of Galmudug State.
The conference which will run for days has convened the leaders and ministers of the state.
The participants will focus on the preparation of a plan to chart out the development of the state and coordinate the overall plan of the state’s ministries.
Galmudug State chief minister, Sheikh Mohamed Shakir has opened the meeting, in attendance of majority of the ministers.
Shakir has stressed the need for a well designed plan which can be used by Galmudug ministries in the forthcoming years.
Meanwhile, Galmudug Minister of planning, Abdihakimn Haji Guled who spoke at the conference has urged the participants of the meeting to work round the clock to draft plan for the state.
The conference comes at critical moment for Galmudug after the unification of Galmudug and Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama’a.
Galmudug has made significant progress since mid last year when it held talks with Ahlu Suna Waljama’a.
In particular the states resolved its differences with Ahlu Suna and agreed to have a coalition government with the group.
This year the state formed Somalia’s most bloated regional assembly with 178 MPs.
