A commercial boat on Monday caught fire before it docked at Bosasso port in north-eastern Bari province of Somalia.
The vessel which reportedly sailed from United Arab Emirates was carrying commercial goods including foodstuffs, vehicles and construction materials.
The fate of the crew is yet clear as rescue operations are underway. No one knows how the boat caught fire.
The tragic comes barely five weeks after another vessel carrying millions of worth of cargo ran aground near Bosasso.
The boat which was also from Dubai was transporting food and supplies to Puntland State.
The owners of the consignment alleged that vessel ran aground after it was denied entry to ports.
Bosasso port is managed by P&O Ports which is subsidiary of DP World.
The Dubai Port Operator which was banned from Somalia this Month, was controlling the port since 2015 when Puntland State inked 30-year concession at valued at $336 million with the Dubai based company.
This incident will be the third tragic accident occurred at Bosasso Port since the Port control was handed over to DP World
