GAROWE (Halbeeg News) – Puntland State in Somalia’s northeastern regions is marking 20 years since declared itself an autonomous state in August 1998.
Dozens of dignitaries including politicians, entrepreneurs, ministers, leaders of civil society have started arriving at Puntland State University Hall.
Hundreds of civilian from all over have flocked the arena to join leaders and dignitaries in witnessing the 20th-anniversary celebrations.
Security has been beefed up all around the Hall as People began streaming in as early as 7 P.M.
Some of the notable leaders who have already made way into the Hall of University include members of the Federal ministers, Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheire and the host leader of Puntland Abdiweli Ali Gaas. of governors and his deputy.
