At least three people have been killed and five others sustained injuries when car bomb detonated at entrance of the headquarters of Somali Ministry for Interior, medics confirmed.
The explosion which was heard from distance occured shortly after 4pm.
Witnesses say a car loaded with explosives went off near the security gate of the ministry.
Abdikadir Abdirahman, the director of Amin Ambulance Service confirmed reports of blast casualties putting the death to three.
“It is too early to know the exact number of casualties but as for now we have seen three bodies and five injuries,” said Abdirahman.
No group has yet claimed the responsibility for the attack.
