Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has fired the country’s Chief Justice on Sunday.
In a presidential decree seen by Halbeeg News, Ibrahim Idle Suileman has been relieved of his duties for undisclosed reasons.
Ibrahim was replaced with Bashe Yussuf Ahmed who is a veteran lawyer.
Suleman who was appointed by the country’s Former President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, was serving the office for twelve months.
The sacked judge could not be reached for comment.
Suleman also served as Somaliland’s state Prosecutor prior to his appointment to the of the Chief Justice.
