United Arab Emirates (UAE) is planing to withdraw its diplomats and citizens from Somalia after its diplomatic raw with Somalia ratchet up as Somalia intercepted 9.6 Million of USD at Mogadishu Airport.
Halbeeg News understands that UAE plans to halt its diplomatic relations with Somalia in protest of the cash which was deposited at Central Bank in pending investigation.
Sources privy to latest development told Halbeeg that UAE dispatched plane and a ship to Somalia to evacuate its citizens.
The Arabian Peninsula nation would stop its missions in Somalia and take its equipment, vehicles and scrap metals from Somalia, according to the sources.
Our sources also confirm that UAE attempted to exert pressure on some of Puntland state to intervene the situation but Putland turned down.
This Arab country’s latest attempt to create animosity between the Federal Government and its regional states is reminiscent of last year’s AUE pressure to Somalia to cut off its ties with Qatar during Gulf Crisis.
