MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – The African Union Mission in Somalia has sent Eid Adha greetings and best wishes to the people of Somalia and Muslims across the globe on Sunday.
“AMISOM sends its warmest wishes to the people of Somalia, and to all Muslims around the world, who are celebrating the special day of Eid al-Adha.”
African Union Mission in Somalia remind Muslim faithful in the country to keep their fellows leaving in fear and insecure areas in their prayers as they celebrate the Eid Adha occassion.
“As we celebrate this happy occasion, let us also keep in our thoughts and prayers our brothers and sisters who will be spending this important day in fear and insecurity. On this Eid al-Adha, we join them as they confidently strive to build a better, brighter and safer Somalia.”
AU mission also wished for the safe return of pilgrims who travelled to the holy city of Mecca for Hajj.
“We also pray for the safe return of our brothers and sisters from Somalia who travelled to Mecca for the remarkable Hajj journey of spiritual renewal.”
Muslim celebrate the three days of Eid which started on Sunday.
