MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – A legal assistant at Benadir regional court been arrested for allegedly receiving a bribe from a client.
The Police have detained Abdulqadir Abdullahi Hassan after he was accused of taking money for offer service.
Police said the officer will be arraigned in court to face bribery charges.
According to the prosecutors, Hassan will article 246 of the country penal code.
The move comes barely a day after a court in Mogadishu summoned the deputy Foreign minister, Muktar Mahad Daud to appear in court.
Mr. Daud earlier failed to appear in the court after the prosecutors levelled charges of abuse of the office against him.
