MOGADISHU (Halbeeg) – Somalia’s prime minister on Thursday sacked the Minister of Education but gave no reason, the state-run radio reported.
“Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre today issued a decree sacking Abdirahman from his post of minister for Education,” Radio Mogadishu reported quoting the decree.
Abdirahman Mohamed Abdulle Jabir, the country’s state Minister for Education has been appointed to the position in an acting capacity, the radio said.
The dismissal comes just hours after he released 2017-2018 secondary examination results.
The sacked minister has been serving the office since 2017 when he was appointed for the post.
