National Intelligence and Security Agency in Jubbaland have displayed Al-shabab member who was captured alive in a fight between government forces and Al-shabab fighters in Kulbiyow town of Lower Jubba region.
Jubbaland security officials said the man was captured in a fight between Jubbaland forces and Al-shabab in Kulbiyow.
The man paraded by Jubbalnd forces at Kulbiyow was identified as Abdullahi Moalim Ibrahim.
According to security officials, Abdullahi sustained injuries during the fight and could not escape after Al-shabab fighters were overpowered in the battle.
Al-shabab fighters carried out direct attack on a military base in Kulbiyow town which government forces but security forces said to have repulsed the attack of Al-shabab fighters.
Last week, four Al-Shabab fighters have been killed and one fighter was captured alive after fierce fighting between Somali Army and Al-Shabab in Bardhere town, a military official has confirmed.
