Afgoye (Halbeeg News) – At least four people were killed and three others wounded after a powerful explosion occurred in the Afgoye district in the Lower Shabelle region.
According to witnesses, the explosion took place at a busy market in the town, which lies 30 kilometres west of Mogadishu.
The local government’s revenue authority office at the market was reportedly targeted with a suspected remote control bomb.
Among the victims killed in the blast were two government officers.
The government Security forces arrived at the scene to conduct operations to hunt down the perpetrators of the attack.
No group has yet claimed the responsibility for the attack.
