MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News)-Somali Football Federation has signed coaching deal with former Ghanian footballer late this week.
Bashiru Hayford was unveiled as the new Ocean Stars head coach on a two-year deal.
According to Ghanian Web, the new coach arrived in Mogadishu last week to seal the agreement following months of negotiations.
The new coach has assumed the office as head of Somali senior national team.
Bashiru had trained several teams in his home country with some spending with years before moving to others.
He trained Black Queens for two years and Lions of Punt for a year.
Bashiru was the head coach of Black Queens when Somalia proposed him to train the national team.
The new coach and his assistant identified as Ebusua Dwarfs had arrived in Somalia last March to negotiate with Somali Football agency over the contract.
He also tops football clubs in his country including Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC.
Somalia has not yet commented on the contract with Bashiru.
The country which struggles to recover from two decades of civil war and has been trying to revive its sports sector.
