A delegation led the president of Djibouti, Ismael Osmar Gelle is expected to arrive in Somali capital, Mogadishu on Saturday.
President Gelle and his delegation are scheduled to meet senior Somali government officials led by president, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
The two sides will discuss the relations between the two brotherly and neighbouring state.
Sources privy to the visit said president Gelle will cut the ribbon of the newly refurbished Djibouti embassy in Mogadishu before heading to Beled-Weyn to meet troops stationed in Hiiraan region for the peacekeeping mission.
Major roads across the city have been locked down to beef up the security during his stay.
Somalia played a key role during the struggle of independence of the strategic tiny horn of the African nation from the French colony in the 1970s.
