MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somali minister for Constitution, Abdirahman Hosh Jibril has today died in UAE, Somali government confirmed.
In a Twitter post, Somali ministry for Constitution said the former lawmaker at a hospital in Dubai.
“Minister for a constitution, Abdirahman Hosh Jibril has died at a hospital in Dubai shortly, We condole with the family and relative of the late minister,” the director of the ministry, Mohamed Abukar Zubeyr.
Somali Prime minister, Hassan Ali Kheire has extended his condolences to the family of the minister.
Hosh has been in Somali political arena for last one decade.
Hosh served as Constitutional Affairs Minister between 2011 and 2012 in the then Transitional Federal Government.
He subsequently became a member of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, having served as Chair of the Subcommittee of Human Rights of parliament from 2012 to 2016.
He was appointed to the same docket by Prime Minister Hassan Khaire when he came to office in March 2017.
