MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News)-Somali government institutions have been ordered to use the national domain system dot So (gov.so)
Minister for Posts, Telecommunication, and Technology, Engineer Abdi Ashur Hassan has called upon all the government bodies to register and apply the system.
He said the ministry is on a mission to help all federal institutions establish and use the national domain in their respective duties.
The minister added that the application of the national domain by government institutions will prevent the forgery of the government documents.
“All senior government officials including the ministers, deputy ministers, state ministers, directors have official national domain addresses created by the ministry,” he said, adding “We request them to use for the transaction of the government business.”
Engineer Ashur further advised respective government offices to follow the procedure during the issuance of the press conferences, job advertisement, business cards and other transactions related to the government services.
The federal government of Somalia through the ministry of posts and telecommunications is on an effort to return the national postal services, national domain and related facilities that were affected by the state of lawlessness in the country for the past two decades.
