DOHA(Halbeeg-News)- The president of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and the Emir state of Qatar, Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani hold talks in Doha on Wednesday.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen the bilateral diplomatic relations between the two states and other issues of mutual interest to both nations.
The head of states also agreed to boost the ongoing ambitious development projects funded by Qatar in Somalia, and the development of the Somali economy and movement of goods and people between the two Arab league members.
The meeting also reiterated the role of Qatar in supporting social service development programs such as the health and education sectors while enhancing the defence pact to help the federal government in rebuilding its armed forces.
Sheikh Tamim’s government assured its commitment to invest in the horn of the African nation particularly in the abundant fishing, farming and livestock sector that is aimed at creating employment opportunities for young people.
