ADDIS ABABA ( Halbeeg News)-African leaders and head of states are expected to address the 32nd session of the Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa on Sunday.
Several leaders have arrived in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa on Saturday afternoon to take part in the crucial African Union calendar.
Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed Ali held dinner for the head of
states on Saturday evening ahead of the official opening of the summit on Sunday.
A delegation senior government officials led by the Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo is representing the horn of the African state.
The president is expected to touch base on security, economy, and refugee issues as he addresses the chamber today.
Somali leader is also scheduled to have sideline meeting with various African leaders to discuss diplomatic relations and issues of mutual interest during the summit.
The summit is expected to deliberate on a number of other vital issues, including refugees, the institutional reform and financing of the continental body; peace and security on the continent; developments related to the African continental free trade area; and negotiations for a new cooperation agreement between the African, Caribbean and Pacific developing countries and the European Union Post-2020.
