MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somali President has today appointed new judges, the latest change to guard part of his initial campaign pledge to have a proper and functioning justice system that caters for the needs of the country’s citizens.
In a statement released by the office of the president, President Farmajo has appointed four new judges to the Supreme Court in addition to 5 judges appointed back in August.
The appointment was said to be the President’s commitment to make reform in the judicial system in the country as one of the key priorities of the government system.
According to the statement, the appointment of the judges was proposed by the Supreme Court chief Bashe Yusuf Ahmed.
The appointment of the Judges came when many people filed complains about injustice and unfair judgment.
The newly appointed judges are:
Abukar Ahmed Ali (Qasaali).
Hassan Abdinur Abdirahman.
Abdulkadir Idiris Isse.
Suleiman Mohamed Mohamud.
