MOGADISHU (HALBEEG)- The speaker of Somali lower house, Mohamed Mursal Sheikh has called for calm and respect to the rule of law in Baidoa.
“ I call upon the residents of Southwest state of the country to be calm and respect to the rule of law, ” he said.
“ I urge also urge the elders in the state to play their role to ensure peaceful environment,” he added
Speaking during press briefing in Mogadishu on Saturday, Mursal also urged the release of Mukhtar Robow Abu Mansur who was arrested on Thursday by the Ethiopian troops while preparing a meeting with the interim presiident of Southwest, Abdikadir Sharif Shekhuna.
“ I call upon the release of candidate of Abu Mansour Robow and to be allowed to take part in the upcoming elections,” Mursal said.
“ The regional Presidential elections should also be delayed until total calm in the region is back”
On the other hand, the speaker has blamed the government of President Abdullahi Farmajo for interfering in the parliamentary work.
He urged the administration to respect the constitution of the country.
