MOGADISHU(Halbeeg-News)-Somali government has directed the security agencies to execute their duties in order to maintain law and order.
Barely three days after over fifty people were killed in triple bombings in Mogadishu, Somali government has ordered the commanders of the security forces to step up the operations to secure the city.
Mohamed Abukar Islow, Somali minister for security who spoke to the media has directed the senior officials of the forces to speed up the operations aimed to foil the security threats of anti-peace elements.
Somali minister for security on Tuesday has vowed the government will hold accountable all commanders and the senior officials over any security lapse in the capital city, Mogadishu.
“We want the security forces and their senior officials to execute their duties as per required. We are going to hold everyone accountable so that no one fails to do the work entrusted with them,” he said,
The remarks of the minister comes barely a day after Somali president, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo held meeting with top officials of the armed forces over the security of Mogadishu following the three deadly attacks on Sahafi hotel.
Suicide bombs which occurred in Mogadishu on Friday, targeted Sahafi hotel and is surrounding killed over fifty people and wounded dozens.
Al-shabab claimed the responsibility of the attack.
