MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News)- The finance minister of federal government of Somalia, Abdirahman Duale Beyleh has held meeting with Somalia police commissioner and other officials in his office in Mogadishu.
The meeting that was lively focused on the responsibilities of the police to spearhead and support the collection of domestic tax from Mogadishu and protection of properties.
Speaking during the meeting, Somalia’s finance minister, Beyleh said the committed to pay the salaries and arrears of the soldiers every month so as to strengthen the fight against Al-shabab and other terror groups.
“ The ministry of finance is dedicated to pay the salaries of the soldiers since they are keeping the security and are engaging direct fight with the enemy of Somali people, al-shabab” said the minister.
Somalia police commissioner, General Bashir Abdi Mohamed underlined that the security forces will double their efforts of securing the country and bring law and order back to normal.
Somali government manages to persuade business to support a new comprehensive tax system so as to collect more domestic revenue from the country but faces serious security issues that hamper the rate of tax collection as the militant group, Al-shabab control many areas in South Central Somalia.
