MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) Southwest state president Sharif Hassan Sheikh has shelved his ambition to seek the second term.
Mr. Sharif who has been ruling the state since its inception in 2014 has reportedly dropped out of the race in the eleventh hour of the contest.
The reason of dropping his presidential bid has not yet been established.
The development comes as the date slated for the presidential elections of Southwest state is less than two weeks away.
